So true! I don't belong to a support group per se, but a mastermind group. We have weekly calls (since we're scattered across the country), and keep in touch via e-mail. I have been blogging about my fitness journey to supplement my accountability and share what I've learned.

I can't say how much it has helped to have supportive people in your life.

Best wishes.

Hey, DietGirl22 ~ I can totally relate. And yeah, Oprah and Bob are so great, inspiring me every time I hear or read their stuff!

This year I also decided to get serious about losing weight, and started my own weekly blog to put it out there, in public, the ups and downs, what's working, what happened when I hit a plateau... I have a lot to go yet, but I'm proud of my success so far and know that making it public has helped. I can't say who, but I can see by my stats that people are checking in every week. SOMEone is watching my progress....

Good luck in your weight loss journey! Great goal picture right there on the top of every blog post. That's a great goal ~ we're on our way!

Good job .. I thnk people too often eat too FEW calories in their hopes of dropping weight, then they throw off their metabolism and that only makes the battle all that more difficult.

Are you serious? People can actually manage the 'counting carbs' thing without breaking away madly on day four? I'm so impressed (not to mention inspired)! What kind of exercises do you do? And how regularly? Sorry to pester you like this, but I'm in dire need of some weight loss myself, and I want to see what works for different people...

Dear Dietgirl, when I exercise esp. on running belt, it takes 10 minutes and sweat is pouring off my whole body. Some people don`t sweat too much. We all are different. So I think its no need to feel disgusting, I just don`t like the feeling when I sweat a lot but I even better enjoy the shower after :)
So don`t worry, sweating is normal, and good luck with loosing weight(I lost 8 pounds last month, exercise helps)...

A network show will always have to do product placement, it's how they keep the show on the air. I still think that the transformations make it a decent show

You hit the "nail on the head" when you said stress. For a hundred different reasons we learn to dilute various emotions, which are the result of both good stress (eustress) and distress, with food. The challenge is to learn to take the emotions straight.
It's like the alcoholic dilutes his trouble and success with alcohol, the food alcholic does likewise and if we weigh 20 or more pounds than is healthy, we're food alcoholics.
