Baby Steps
I’ve been doing what I can to get back on track (back on the horse). I went to the gym this morning and I’ve done a lot
more walking. This weekend we’re moving so that will be a workout. Even though I’ve been “bad” my weight hasn’t shot up. In fact, I’m down a pound! I don’t know why I’ve lost and not gained. I’m going to consider myself lucky and keep on track.
The place we’re moving to have a gym and a pool so now I have no excuse to work out more often. While packing I’m trying to get rid of the unhealthy food we have. There isn’t much since we mostly eat healthy to begin with (my problem
is excess calories and emotional eating). I’ve decided I need to get off fake sweeteners/man made sweeteners like Splenda and aspartame. They can really mess up your system. I think they make me dizzy too. I’ve decided the regular sugar
stuff is better than the no calories fake stuff. At least it isn’t proven to cause never damage and cancer as a side effect. If I need an alternative, I find Stevia and brown rice syrup help. As for other foods, I don’t use oil when I fry food. I try to use vegetable broth. It works just as well. I also use spray butter for the rare occasions I need butter. I’ve also cut out salt and cut back on diet sodas. I’m glad I was able to make these changed. I did them slowly. They say it take 3 weeks to make something a habit. I think I’ve succeeded.
